Recently, the Spanish government approved a decree that equates the supervision of heated tobacco products with traditional cigarettes and prohibits products with added flavors. These regulations do not apply to all vaping products, such as e-cigarettes.
Additionally, it will now be mandatory for labels on heated tobacco products to include warnings about health hazards, Catalan News reports.
The country's health ministry is considering further regulations.
Heated tobacco products must have the label "Tobacco smoke contains more than 70 carcinogens" on their outer packaging, along with relevant pictures.
The decree will enter into force three months after its publication in the Boletín official del Estado.
