British American Tobacco collective contract announced that employees will receive a 2% salary increase before March 1, 2026

According to a report by Euronews on December 26, the Spanish National Official Gazette (BOE) has published and registered the collective contract of British American Tobacco (BAT). The contract is valid from July 1, 2023 to March 31, 2026, stipulating Starting from April 1, 2022, its employees will receive a 2% salary increase, which will be paid retroactively.

According to BOE records, in the same payroll, a one-time payment equal to 0.35% of basic salary will be paid, retroactively from April 2022, and this payment is not consolidated.

In addition, during the validity of this new agreement, a 1% increase in basic salary is provided for positions at grade D and above every year from April 1, 2023 to March 31, 2026, while for grades B and C, an increase of 1% will be provided based on The date on which an employee is eligible to participate in a salary increase system known as the ASR (Annual Salary Adjustment Review) for a salary adjustment, which will take effect on April 1 of the following year.

Therefore, while negotiated pay adjustments have been agreed, it has also been agreed that a new pay review system called the ASR (Annual Salary Review) will apply over the life of this contract, in addition to the base pay scale. This system operates across the company globally and is effective from the date of this Agreement until its conclusion.

As a result of this new supplementary pay review regime, a new subsidy has been created called the Annual Performance Review Subsidy, which will apply from 1 April 2022 to 31 March 2026.

Regarding teleworking, the multinational company's new collective contract stipulates that teleworking only applies to office workers and stipulates that teleworking can be carried out for two days per week throughout the year. However, in July, three days can be carried out under special circumstances, and Teleworking will be possible for five working days in August.
