The Vietnamese government formulates a year-end anti-smuggling plan to investigate and deal with multiple large-scale tobacco smuggling cases

According to congthuong, law enforcement agencies across Vietnam have formulated a plan to combat smuggling at the end of the year in accordance with the guidance of the government, the National 389 Steering Committee and the Ministry of Commerce to ensure the standardization of market operations.

Recently, law enforcement agencies have uncovered a number of large-scale smuggling cases, including smuggled fireworks, a large number of cigarettes of unknown origin, and a large number of illegally imported tobacco cases from foreign countries. A total of 5,500 packs of illegally imported tobacco were seized.
